The study of generation of noise due to Aerodynamics affect is called Aero-acoustics. Aero-Acoustics provides such approximations and at the same time a definition of the acoustical field as an extrapolation of an ideal reference flow. The difference between the actual flow and the reference flow is identified as a source of sound. The generation of sound by a turbulent stream is the most common physical impact related with the field of aeroacoustics. The prefix aero implies air, in any case, the field of aeroacoustics is not limited to flow-induced noise in air. Aeroacoustics is concerned with the common interaction between a background stream and an acoustics field.
